Christine Alexander is the author of Water Fitness Lesson Plans and Choreography, published by Human Kinetics in 2011.  The book is sold in the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

 

Christine has been teaching water fitness classes since June 1993.  Her first classes were at the YMCA, in Kenner, Louisiana, a suburb of New Orleans.  She moved to Plano, Texas in 1998 and she currently teaches classes for the City of Plano Parks and Recreation Department at Oak Point Recreation Center.  She also teaches sub classes for the City of McKinney Parks and Recreation.

 

She is a presenter for the Aquatic Exercise Association and writes 2 articles a year for AKWA magazine.  To get a subscription to AKWA magazine, contact AEA at www.aeawave.com to become an AEA member.

 

She is a contributing author to the US Water Fitness Association’s National Water Fitness Instructors Manual. To apply for the certification, contact the USWFA at www.uswfa.org.  She conducts her own introductory course for water fitness instructors, and enjoys mentoring beginning instructors.

 

She has served on the Board of the Metroplex Association of Aquatic Professionals since 1999.  She is currently president and also manages the website at www.maapdfw.com.
