Seasonal Training*
Sessions 4–6
70%
We do cardio, strength training with equipment, and intervals at 70% of maximum intensity.
Transition
Sessions 11
We do light cardio, core strength and flexibility training.
Active Rest
Sessions 7–10
80%
We do cardio, strength training with equipment, and intervals at 80% of maximum intensity (HIIT).
Peak Fitness
Sessions 1– 3
60%
We do cardio, strength training mostly without equipment, and intervals at 60% of maximum intensity.
*The year is divided into 4 seasons. This type of training is called Periodization. Research has shown it to be an effective way to improve cardiovascular fitness and muscular strength and endurance.
Deep water aerobics is taught at the deep end of the pool in water 7-15 feet deep. A flotation belt is required for the class and is provided by the facility. Sessions are 4 weeks long and cost $65 for Plano residents. Seniors get a 10% discount. Non-residents cost extra.
Shallow water aerobics is taught in the shallow end of the pool in water 4 feet deep. Sessions are 4 weeks long and cost $49 for Plano residents. Seniors get a 10% discount. Non-residents cost extra.
